Overseas Aid for the Kids of Sierra Leone

Abtech Safety is proud to support OAKS - Overseas Aid for the Kids of Sierra Leone, a Chester-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in Sierra Leone. Founded by a group of UK volunteers with strong ties to the region, OAKS focuses on educational development and welfare programmes that create lasting, positive change.

Since its establishment, OAKS has worked tirelessly to build a brighter future for children in Sierra Leone. It provides access to quality education, essential resources, and holistic support that children need to thrive. In Bo, Sierra Leone, OAKS has established a primary and secondary school, providing local children with a safe, nurturing environment to learn and grow.

Abtech Safety is delighted to be able to contribute to a cause that uplifts children and strengthens communities, fostering a generation of educated, healthy, and hopeful young people. Visit their website to discover more about this incredible charity and consider donating to help them continue to improve the lives of young people in Bo.

Supporting Welsh Rugby Talent: Finley Yates

Abtech Safety is proud to support local talent. Finley Yates is a rugby league player and valued member of staff, working as an Office Administrator with prior experience in our warehouse.

Finley began his rugby career with the Cynon Valley Cavaliers in 2021, earning a spot as a Wales U17 international the same year. In 2022, he joined the Wales Rugby League National Development Academy, leading to his signing with the Salford Red Devils reserve team. That year, he also represented Wales at the U19 European Championships, showcasing his talent internationally.

By 2024, Finley’s dedication and skill earned him a place in the Wales senior men’s squad for the Rugby League World Cup qualifiers, marking a major milestone in his promising rugby career.

We are proud to sponsor Finley, supporting his journey as both, a colleague and a rising star in Welsh rugby. His achievements inspire not only our team but the wider community, proving that dedication and perseverance can lead to success

Supporting Community Rugby: Eccles RFC

Abtech Safety is a proud club sponsor of Eccles RFC, a historic community rugby club with over 125 years of tradition. Operated as a non-profit and run entirely by volunteers, Eccles RFC reflects the values we share — ambition, inclusivity, and dedication to making a difference.

We’re thrilled to congratulate Eccles RFC on being awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2024, the highest honour for UK voluntary groups, equivalent to an MBE. This prestigious recognition celebrates the incredible efforts of their 128 volunteers, whose hard work and commitment make the club a pillar of the community.

Our sponsorship helps Eccles RFC maintain its facilities, keep the pitches in top condition, and fund vital initiatives such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Community Rugby Coaching in Salford schools. These programmes inspire young people, teaching valuable skills and fostering a love for rugby.
