Abtech Office Admins Try On Evacuation Equipment in Raglan

20.02.2025

At Abtech Safety, we believe that hands-on experience is key to understanding the challenges faced by those working at height. That’s why we recently gave two members of our office team the opportunity to step away from their desks in Deeside and put our equipment to the test in a real-world setting.

Outreach Rescue Tower

During a visit to our South Wales office and Outreach Rescue training facility in Raglan, Brandon Schofield (Accounts Administrator) and Sophie Gilruth (Office Administrator) were introduced to the Training Tower, used for Global Wind Organisation (GWO) courses. Seeing the tower up close, they couldn’t resist the challenge of climbing it.

Under the expert guidance of Outreach Rescue trainer Mark Fryatt, they suited up in harnesses and made their way to the top. Once at the summit, they put their trust in the RESQ RPX Descender — a compact, automatic evacuation device designed for safe, controlled descents in emergencies. In a matter of seconds, they experienced the same smooth, reliable descent that our customers rely on in critical situations.

This first-hand experience reinforced why we are so passionate about providing trusted, high-quality height safety and rescue solutions. For Brandon and Sophie, it was an eye-opening look at the challenges faced by those working at height — and a great way to bring our teams together and connect with the equipment.
